Hello, my name is Evan

I first held a camera at the age of 15, in the summer of 1977 as not to get bored over the summer. I took a summer school class at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Van Nuys, CA., before going into the 10th grade. I instantly fell in love and have never wanted to do anything else.

I officially started Evan Guston photography on January 1 of 1990, by June of the same year I was so busy I could no longer work out of my home and had to move into a studio on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana, CA.

But I’m not a model!

You’ve arrived at this page because our paths have crossed! My passion for photography remains as strong as when I first began. I’ve set a personal goal to photograph one creative project per month, allowing me to stay inspired, explore new techniques, and continually evolve in the ever-changing digital world.

You were selected for test modeling by me because of your distinct look, natural expression, and ability to engage with people. Your presence allows me to explore lighting, composition, and styling techniques, helping to refine my craft while creating compelling images that enhance both my portfolio and client experience.

Q: How much will it cost me?
A: There’s no session fee!

Q: How is that possible?
A: This is Evan’s opportunity to get creative.

Q: What do I get out of it?
A: You’ll receive five digital images to share at no cost.

Q: What’s in it for Evan?
A: He gains fresh creative samples and the chance to refine new techniques.

Staying  Creative . . .

THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT COMPONENTS TO CREATIVITY. IMAGINATION, TECHNICAL ABILITY, AND THE SUBJECT. . .

My process changes depending on the idea, technical aspect, or model. Sometimes it’s the idea followed by the other two, sometimes it’s a technical approach followed by the others and of course, it could be the model that is the inspiration. There is, however, one more, I may have a location in mind!
