THE SENIOR EXPERIENCE
1. CLOTHING AND STYLE CONSULTATION
In person appointments are always a great way to meet and helps the senior get comfortable, this can also be done via Zoom. Evan will get to know you, start to design your session, and help find the right wardrobe for your shoot. This is also the time to talk about our products, from prints to albums and heirloom styled works of art, we will create the perfect collection for you.
2. PREPARING FOR YOUR SHOOT
Arrive in a comfy travel outfit and bring your outfits on hangers and/or rolling travel bag. We want you to look and feel your best. Clothing that is squished into a bag and rolled up like a ball will come out wrinkled and will photograph poorly. For the girls professional makeup application is recommended.
3. PHOTO SHOOT
Your photo shoot will be approx. 2 hours depending on if we are shooting on location or in a studio. We never compromise your photo day, so if rain or strong winds or extreme heat are in the forecast, we will reschedule to another day that works for you.
4. YOUR ORDERING APPOINTMENT
Your ordering appointment will last between 60 to 90 minutes, we want to make sure you do not feel rushed. We will work with you to help create the perfect displays for your images, and the finest products for your home.
What To Wear
Choosing what to wear for your senior session can be a little overwhelming, here’s some suggestions & guidelines that may help for the success of your portraits!
bright – jewel toned colors
complimentary layers
functional clothing: if you want to get the most out of your poses, you need to be able to sit, squat, stand, etc. comfortably in your outfits
classic and thin chained jewelry paired with simple earrings
a variety of outfits that show off your true personality: at least one classic outfit + jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, etc… mix it up!
NUDE under garments, tailored clothing that accentuates your best assets
Once you book your session, you will have access to our extremely detailed “What to Wear Guide” to help you choose your perfect session wardrobe! We go over the right choices for your specific body type, skin tone and personal style, with lots of sample pics!
What Not To Wear
Here are some simple tips to avoid and will help elevate the quality of your portraits!
wrinkled & dull clothes
busy patterns: camo, plaid, etc.
short length skirts, dresses and/or shorts that expose too much when sitting, squatting or bending over
trendy and chunky jewelry that can draw attention away from your face
the same outfits of the same style over and over again: wearing four dresses over the course of your portraits may not show variety
cleavage-baring tops & blouses
tight fitting clothing that can accentuate problem areas

School Activities
School activities can play a big role during your Senior year and it’s a wonderful way of highlighting your personality! No matter what your chosen activity or sport, we would like to capture this part of your personality.
Personal enjoyment!
Bring what you love most into your Senior portraits! Whether you love the beach or the mountains motorcycle riding or playing a musical instrument, this can be a wonderful addition to your portraits.
We first hired Evan to take pictures of our daughter for her 13th birthday. He was so engaging and made her feel so safe and comfortable. The photos blew us away and he made us a gorgeous album. We used him again a few years later for family portraits and had such a fun day with him. And then we hired him AGAIN a couple of years later for our daughter’s 18th birthday and senior portraits. He took her to three locations and got the most beautiful photos that captured her personality – I’ve attached a couple here. Evan is professional, fun, creative and talented. We will continue to use him to help us record memories of our most important life events. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
