HEADSHOT EXPERIENCE
1. CLOTHING AND STYLE CONSULTATION
In person appointments are always a great way to meet and helps the get comfortable, this can also be done via Zoom. Evan will get to know you, start to design your session, and help find the right wardrobe for your shoot.
2. PREPARING FOR YOUR SHOOT
Arrive in a comfy travel outfit and bring your outfits on hangers and/or rolling travel bag. We want you to look and feel your best. Clothing that is squished into a bag and rolled up like a ball will come out wrinkled and will photograph poorly. For the girls professional makeup application is recommended.
3. PHOTO SHOOT
Depending on what we are doing, your photo shoot will be approx. 2 hours depending on if we are shooting on location or in a studio. We never compromise your photo day, so if rain or strong winds or extreme heat are in the forecast, we will reschedule to another day that works for you.
4. YOUR ORDERING APPOINTMENT
Your images will be processed and posted online within 24 hours. You will receive an email or text with the link information with 24 hours. All images posted are raw and have not had any retouching done at this point. All finished images will be fully retouched, picture perfect!
BRANDING
A commonly asked question is, “Do you do headshots?” Evan’s response is do you need a headshot or do you need personal branding photography?
Together you and Evan can discuss what your need for the images are and come up with a game plan. Simply put, headshots are generally close up with a simple backdrop while Branding is more environmental.
Because Headshots are close up the subject is generally looking into the camera. With branding portraits of the subject can be interacting with another person or include some type of prop related to the profession.
Lastly, Headshots are generally on a solid or traditional painted backdrop while the branding portrait utilizes the environment.
Branding is typically environmental and can be a half shot to full length giving the viewer an idea of who you are and what you are about.
Headshots are generally close-up with a simple backdrop giving the viewer a sense of who you are.
